From a garage-based company to a reliable partner and solution provider for specialty printing systems – DTM Print has been at your side for almost 40 years
Our product portfolio includes special printing solutions for full-colour and full-surface label printing, as well as subsequent processing, including contour cutting in any shape or size. We offer our customers colour label printers with inkjet, LED dry toner and thermal transfer technology. Our label printing division also offers laser marking and colour coding systems for producing extremely durable and resistant labels and signs for industrial environments.
Other mainstays of DTM Print include cassette and slide printers with thermal transfer and UV laser technology, for use in medical laboratories specialising in pathology, histology and cytology. We also offer automatic duplication and printing systems for optical media such as CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs.
Our food printers, which can print directly onto or glaze confectionery and baked goods, complete our portfolio of specialised printing systems.
All solutions can be selected and adapted to customer requirements and are distributed through authorised sales partners and distributors in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Our History
1986 - Foundation of DTM Werbung & EDV GmbH
A passion for computers and a love of the Amiga characterised the early years of our company. DTM began by providing IT services, before becoming a dealer of brand-name PCs and Commodore Amiga computers, along with all the necessary accessories. Retail stores were opened in Wiesbaden-Bierstadt and in the pedestrian zone in Wiesbaden-City. New office buildings, a warehouse and a workshop were required to fulfil special orders, such as the initial equipment for the computer infrastructure of the state capital of Wiesbaden.
1992 - Distribution partner for Fargo Inc.
Thanks to close relationships with manufacturers, we were able to expand the product range for Amiga customers very quickly. Our preference for special printers, which remains valid today, originated in 1992 when we became German distribution partner of the company Fargo Inc. for its ID-card printers and then revolutionary photo printers. New markets, now also for PC and Mac, were added and the targeted support of dealers and integrators made our company even more exciting.
2001 - Expansion of the sales territory to Europe
Following the sale of Fargo's ID card division in the USA in 1998, the Fargo spin-off became Primera Technology, Inc. DTM Werbung & EDV GmbH initially took over the exclusive distribution in Europe, subsequently expanding the sales territory to the EMEA region.
2008 - Renamed Primera Europe GmbH
DTM Werbung & EDV GmbH became Primera Europe GmbH in 2008. Over the years, our product portfolio has expanded to include colour label printers and other special printing systems for industrial and medical applications, in addition to CD/DVD/BD duplication and printing systems.
Our passion for bespoke solutions and many years of experience have made us specialists in niche products. Since 2013, we have formed partnerships with renowned agencies to implement point-of-sale (POS) solutions for manufacturers such as Coca-Cola, Nestlé and Ferrero.
2019 - Primera Europe GmbH becomes DTM Print GmbH
The company now has over 40 employees, and our headquarters have been expanded: With 1,500 square metres of office space, a workshop, demo and training rooms, and 1,200 square metres of storage space, we have been able to expand our portfolio.
In order to communicate this to the outside world, we have given our first brand, DTM, a new look. DTM is the abbreviation for Data Technology Management, and that is what we continue to do today: providing a passionate, individual and project-by-project service to our customers. This is why Primera Europe GmbH renamed DTM Print GmbH.
DTM Print is part of the DTM Group, a holding company that brings together all subsidiaries of our group of companies.
2026 - DTM Print celebrates its 40th anniversary
A better future is our passion. Since 1986, we have been developing customised printing and computer solutions. Our goal has always been to find the right solution for each customer by offering the optimal combination of hardware and software to meet their requirements.
Our company headquarters remain in our hometown: Wiesbaden, located in the heart of the Rhine-Main area — Europe's largest transport hub — is close to Frankfurt's cargo airport and the Mainz container port.
We are proud of how our company has grown from a small business operating from a garage to a reliable solution provider for our customers and partners in the EMEA region, and we are confident about the future.
